You’ve put in the work. For now, focus on performing at your best on test day. Once it’s over, whatever happens, take a proper break before turning your attention to the rest of your application. Your Medify subscription gives you access to all of the courses and tools below.

Before your test

Keep your final preparation focused:

  • Take your last full mock early enough to review it properly.

  • Switch to shorter practice sessions that reinforce your technique.

  • Keep your normal sleep and eating routine.

  • Stop cramming the day before. Check your journey, confirmation email, and photographic ID instead.

Feeling nervous is normal, so trust the preparation you’ve already done.

After your test

Protect your grades

Your UCAT matters, but so do your academic results. Strong exam performance will keep more university options open and help turn an offer into a place.

Use Medify’s A Level courses to strengthen your subject knowledge, target gaps, and keep progressing after your UCAT preparation ends.

Start preparing for interviews

Starting early gives you time to build your knowledge, practise answering aloud, and improve without rushing. Learn what to expect, work through realistic questions, and get personalised feedback with the Interviews course.

Choose universities with your score in mind

Your UCAT score is one part of your application, not the whole story. Understand UCAT scoring, then use the University Directory to compare entry requirements and how different universities use the UCAT.

If your score is lower than you hoped, you still have options. You can apply strategically, take the UCAT again in a later year, or, if you’re a graduate, explore courses that accept the GAMSAT. Requirements vary, so check each course carefully before preparing with Medify’s GAMSAT course.

Get your application ready

The Application Tracker is coming soon. Until then, use Key Dates, make your own plan, and check UCAS and university admissions pages regularly.

You’ll also need to complete the UCAS personal statement. Start noting why you want to study medicine or dentistry, how your studies have prepared you, and what you’ve learned from your experiences. Focus on specific evidence and reflection, using the official UCAS personal statement guidance to shape your responses.

Make your experience count

Use the Experience Tracker to record what you did, what you learned, and how each experience shaped your understanding of healthcare and working with people. If you’re looking for another opportunity, explore our Work Experience Map.

Build the rest of your application

Completing the UCAT is an important milestone, but it is only one part of getting into medicine or dentistry. Give yourself time to recover, and use the work you’ve already done as the foundation for the next stage.
