Where do Australian and New Zealand medical schools rank worldwide?

It is true that university rankings, especially in the field of medicine, do not hold as much significance in Australia and New Zealand compared to some other parts of the world. Some of this can be attributed to the fact that there is not a great deal of variation in terms of the quality of medical education, since all medical schools in Australia and New Zealand are accredited and recognised as being comparable by the Australian Medical Council (AMC).
However, the subject-specific and overall university rankings can provide you with a quick snapshot of the reputation and quality of each medical school. While some students may look at such rankings out of light interest, some may find them helpful for making a decision after receiving offers from multiple medical schools.
Here, we present two of the most popular university rankings worldwide, the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The two ranking systems may vary slightly as they have different criteria for assessing universities, but they are largely in line with each other.
