How do we do this conversion?
UK:
The official 2025 UK decile bands have not yet been published. Because of this, a direct year-to-year conversion is not yet possible. This tool therefore uses the published 2024 UK decile bands (without Abstract Reasoning) as the reference. When you enter a score, it identifies your percentile position within the 2024 cut-offs and reports the equivalent standing. Once the 2025 UK decile bands are released, the mapping will be updated to reflect them.
ANZ:
For Australia and New Zealand, both the 2025 and 2024 decile cut-offs are available. The converter first determines which 2025 decile band your score falls into and how far through that band you are. It then applies that same fractional position to the corresponding decile band on the 2024 scale. This produces a 2024 score representing the same relative standing among candidates, which is then rounded to the nearest 10 for clarity.
In both regions the method uses piecewise-linear interpolation between official decile boundaries rather than a single formula, so that your percentile rank is preserved as closely as possible when converting between years.
